Viscosity SensorThe MCF low shear fluid condition sensor platform is the latest in development of breakthrough in viscosity sensing applications. The MCF fluid condition viscosity sensor is solid state with no moving parts and is based on a leading edge crystal design. The surface of the sensor is also treated to be scratch and chemically resistant. The sensor operates at 5.3MHz producing a very low shear rate in liquids which results in better correlation to more traditional viscosity measurement techniques. The sensor is fully immersible and can be easily configured for insertion into a myriad of processes. Unaffected by flow or vibration conditions, the MCF fluid condition viscosity sensor is operable for a wide range of fluids and especially targeted for oil condition monitoring applications. It can be operated in fluids at very wide operating temperature ranges and is available in two product packages. The first configuration, similar to the APM fluid condition sensor, comes in a square format. The second, integrates the sensor and electronics into a threaded bolt configuration (1/2 NPT and BSPT).
